| HCM Highway construction well under way |

4/25/2009 11:40:00 AM Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai yesterday inspected the construction of a segment of the Ho Chi Minh Highway that passes Kon Tum town, and some other traffic projects in the Tay Nguyen (Central Highlands) province of Kon Tum. He praised the province for its efforts in site clearance work. The province has compensated VND54 billion (US$3.2 million) to 410 local households and some offices who had to give up their land for the project. Other traffic works in the province include a project to upgrade Highway No 24 linking Kon Tum with Quang Ngai Province. The highway’s segment passing Violak and Mang Den mountain passes will be upgraded next year.. |
