Under the project, a wind power plant will be built in an area of 45 hectares in Bai Nhat-Bai Da Trang. The construction is expected to be completed in 3 years and the project will be divided into 2 phases. After the first phase, the plant will have a capacity of 10 megawatts and it will then gradually raise its capacity.

The investor said that total investment in the project is some VND 450 billion and the when the plant is in operation, the electricity price will stand at around VND 2,500 per kilowatt/hour, or much cheaper than that sold by the Electricity of Vietnam.

The project is highly valued in social and economic terms, yet the investor is also asked to produce a report on environment impacts before the project will be licensed. Previously, Aerogie Plus Việt Nam had invested in the first wind power project in Con Dao.
