Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Tes-Amm organization, and Nokia Group on Saturday (13 June 2009) organized a jogging campaign to collect damaged electronic equipments that are discarded in HCMC.

Around 1,000 old cell-phones and appliances were collected by joggers along different streets in the city. The garbage if improperly disposed of will emit substances harmful to the environment and people, said Nokia’s customer service director Michael Ang. For each phone collected, Nokia will contribute US$2 for production of rubbish bins in HCMC and Hanoi. The program will be organized at Nokia warranty centers and public places in the two cities.
