| RAAS withdraws from resort project |

4/25/2009 11:40:00 AM RAAS, a blood product supply company, will no longer develop a planned resort and spa project in Khanh Hoa Province for the upcoming Miss World 2010 pageant, the provincial government said Wednesday. The company sent a letter to Khanh Hoa Province People’s Committee asking to withdraw from the project, according to Committee Vice Chairman Le Xuan Than.
The project was planned to be carried out on Dam Bay Island in Nha Trang Bay. Miss World 2010 will still be held in central Khanh Hoa Province’s Nha Trang Town and RAAS will still sponsor the event, Than said. Earlier, RAAS had asked provincial authorities for a large area of the island and ocean to implement the project. |
