The Ho Chi Minh City Municipal People’s Committee has agreed on a plan jointly made by the city’s Investment and Planning Department and the Inner-city Railways Management Board to receive ODA sources and to draw up a feasibility project to build the Ben Thanh Central Station Complex. The ODA for the project will come from the Belgium Government. According to city’s associated agencies, there is wide consensus on the idea to build a large modern central station at Ben Thanh market in Ho Chi Minh City to function as a transportation interchange for buses and trains and also as a trade complex.
The city also instructed these agencies, including the investors, managers and consultants to closely coordinate with one another in examining the feasibility of the project, finishing necessary documents and submit the final detailed project for approval. |
