Russian businesses seek investment opportunities in Vietnam

As many as 57 major Russian groups and companies involved in different economic sectors are expected to attend the Vietnam International Industrial Fair 2009 to be held in Hanoi from October 20-24.

With a displaying area of more than 1,000 m2, Russian businesses account for one third of participants and one eighth of the total display area.
 
Russia ranks 25th among nations and territories investing in Vietnam with 59 projects which have a total registered capital of USD376 million and disbursed capital of more than USD233 million.
 
Two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and Russia is estimated at USD2 billion in 2009 and will jump to USD3 billion in 2010.
