This was the result of a forum to promote investment held in Buon Ma Thuot City in the Central Highland province of Dak Lak in September 2009. The forum attracted 700 delegates from 60 foreign businesses and 21 domestic groups and companies, as well as senior officials from ministries and central agencies.

According to the Central Highland Steering Committee, a conference will be held in Da Lat in the Central Highland province of Lam Dong on February 23 to evaluate on-going projects and grant investment licenses to newly-approved projects.

The conference will boost the implementation of cooperation agreements reached at the forum in September 2009. It will also be a good opportunity for businesses to hold direct talks with the Central Highland Steering Committee, as well as the Central Highland provincial authorities in a bid to help businesses overcome difficulties and call for more investment in the region.
