Eduard Hoeberichts, CEO of the firm said the centre would be capitalised at $15 million and located in Saigon Hi-Tech Park (SHTP) and directly managed by Simax Vietnam.
In the first stage of development, Simax Vietnam will provide back-office and engineering services on repair and maintenance of machines used in semiconductor industries.
Meanwhile, Simax Vietnam will co-organise with Saigon Hi-Tech Park Training Centre, to organise seminars to introduce semiconductor industry to engineers and technicians of Vietnam.
Besides, Simax Vietnam and Saigon Hi-Tech Park R&D Centre have shown their interest in potential collaboration to support lithography technology at the park, including lithography equipment and process.
