| Rieker footwear factory built in Quang Ngai | |
The managing board of Quang Ngai Industrial Zones on July 18 granted an investment license for the Rieker Vietnam Footwear Factory. This is the biggest foreign invested project worth US$14 million in Quang Ngai so far. The project will cover an area of 10ha in Tinh Phong IZ in Son Tinh district in August and the first phase of construction will be finished by the end of 2012. Once completed in 2014, the project will generate 5,000 direct jobs and 2,500 indirect jobs for local people and manufacture 7-8 million pairs of shoes each year, earning around US$15 million in export revenue. | |
