| School time, work time adjusted to reduce traffic jam in Hanoi |

The Ha Noi City’s Party Committee has approved a submit from the city People’s Committee to adjust school time as well as work time to reduce traffic jams in the city. Three main groups are listed in the adjustment that is planned to be carried out in 10 inner districts and two suburb ones of Thanh Tri and Tu Liem.
Students of university, institute, colleges, vocational school and high school will start their school time at 7am and finish at 6pm.
Centres of trade, service, banking and finance, stock exchange, and insurance will open at 9am and close at 10pm.
However, work time and school time remain, starting at 8am and finishing at 5am, for the third group including governmental staff; civil servant; pupils of kindergarten, primary school and secondary school to avoid disrupting the daily life.
The adjustment is expected to take effect on December 1 if receiving an approval from the Government; or in the beginning of next year if the Government orders to perfect the adjustment.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Transport has submitted another adjustment to the Government on Thursday (27 Oct). |
