The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will give priority to the provision of its official development assistance (ODA) for education and environment projects in the southern province of Binh Duong . While working alongside the provincial People’s Committee in Ho Chi Minh City on December 18 on projects that require investment assistance during the 2010-2020 period, JICA Representative Makajima Yukio said JICA pays attention to several strategic infrastructure development projects, such as the upgrade of water supply and drainage systems, and personnel training projects for health and education officials.
The provincial’s vice chairman Pham Hoang Ha hailed JICA’s interest in the province’s future development, as well as a water environment upgrade project in the south of the province which is being funded by Japanese ODA.
He said that the province will efficiently use the funding for its infrastructure development projects to achieve the goals of the Japanese government regarding ODA projects. |
