By the end of the 4 months of 2020, FDI enterprises invested in Dong Nai province nearly US $ 370 million, equal to 50% compared to the same period in 2019. Of which, there were 29 new projects with total registered capital of over 93 million. USD and 41 projects increased capital with additional capital of nearly 277 million USD.

From the beginning of the year until now, FDI project newly invested and increased capital were lower than the same period last year due to the impact of Covid-19 epidemic. At present, Dong Nai is one of the six provinces and cities with the largest FDI inflow in the country. Most FDI projects invested in Dong Nai are industrial production, products making more than 80% exported to more than 170 countries and territories around the world.

According to the Department of Planning and Investment of Dong Nai Province, by the end of April 2020, Dong Nai province had more than 1,500 foreign direct investment projects still valid with a total registered capital of nearly 30.6 billion USD. The majority of FDI projects are invested in industrial zones. Projects outside industrial zones only account for 17% of total investment capital. Investment projects outside industrial parks are mainly in the fields of technical infrastructure, properties and agriculture.
