The Tan Phu - Bao Loc expressway is expected to be 67 km long, 4 lanes with a total cost of about 18,000 billion VND, when completed, it will reduce the load for Highway 20.

Thang Long Project Management Board said that it had submitted to the Ministry of Transport for approval the pre-feasibility study report of the Tan Phu - Bao Loc expressway construction investment project. It is expected that the project will be put into investment in the medium term from 2021 to 2025 in the BOT form.

The expressway passes through Tan Phu (Dong Nai), Da Huoai, Da Te, Bao Lam and Bao Loc (Lam Dong) districts. The first stage of the road will be 17 m wide, the design speed is 80 km / h. Total investment of phase one is about 18,000 billion VND.

According to this consultant, this is the second component project of the Dau Giay - Lien Khuong expressway with the length of 200 km. Previously, the 60-kilometer Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway project with a total cost of 6,400 billion VND and the 73-kilometer Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressway with a capital of about 12,000 billion VND was also proposed to build. All are designed with 4 lanes, speed from 80 to 100 km / h.

Earlier this year, the National Assembly delegation of Lam Dong province sent a document to the Ministry of Transport to propose early construction of the Tan Phu - Bao Loc expressway to solve traffic congestion through Bao Loc pass.

Mr. Nguyen Van Huan, Deputy Director of Thang Long Project Management Board, said that when completed, the Dau Giay - Lien Khuong expressway will reduce the load for Highway 20. This route is completely connected to the Ho Chi Minh City - Long expressway. Thanh - Dau Giay and Lien Khuong - Prenn Expressway (Da Lat) have been put into use since 2008, shortening the travel time from the Central Highlands to the Southeast.

If approved by the Ministry of Transport, the projects will be started in the third quarter of 2022 and completed in 2025.
