A city directly under the Central Government plans to build an additional 6,200 hectares of new industrial parks

Hai Phong is focusing on completing procedures to deploy 6,200 hectares of new industrial parks and propose to add 7 new industrial parks.

 
 

This content is included in the Hai Phong City Planning Report for the period of 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 - the draft for consultation with the City People’s Committee.

According to the plan approved by the Prime Minister over the period, Hai Phong has 1 economic zone (EZ) Dinh Vu - Cat Hai EZ with an area of ​​22,540 ha and 25 industrial parks (IZs) according to the total area planning. 12,702 hectares.

Dinh Vu - Cat Hai economic zone has a total area of ​​22,540 ha (the boundary adjustment has been decided by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 13/2021/QD-TTg dated March 25, 2021), and is expected to be expanded. The scale of Dinh Vu - Cat Hai economic zone in the area of ​​Cat Hai island and Lach Huyen port meets the growing demand for development in this area in particular and the city in general.

With the planned nature as a general economic zone, a multi-industry and multi-field marine economic center, a modern industrial, commercial and tourist city, it has become the driving force for the development of Hai Phong and other provinces. the Northern key economic region, which is the gateway to Vietnam’s integration.

By 2020, there will be 12 industrial zones implementing infrastructure investment, construction and business activities (8 IPs located in Dinh Vu - Cat Hai EZ with an area of ​​5,230 ha and 4 industrial zones outside the EZ with an area of ​​768 ha). The average occupancy rate of operating industrial zones is over 62.5%. In which, some industrial parks have basically reached 100% occupancy rate: MP Dinh Vu Industrial Park, Nomura Industrial Park, Trang Due Industrial Park (phase 1, phase 2), Dinh Vu Industrial Park (1+2), Do Son Industrial Park.

Implementing Action Program No. 76 of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, in the period of 2021-2025, the city is expected to build more new industrial parks with a total area of ​​over 6,200 hectares. In there:

6 industrial parks are focusing on implementing new establishment procedures with a total area of ​​2,758 ha. Specifically:

+ Xuan Cau Industrial Park project (after port services) with an area of ​​752 ha located in Dinh Vu - Cat Hai economic zone, has been approved by the Prime Minister Decision on investment policy in Decision No. 535/QD- TTg on April 1, 2021.

+ 5 Projects have submitted dossiers of application for approval of investment policies at the Ministry of Planning and Investment: Nam Trang Cat Industrial Park, Thuy Nguyen Industrial Park, Tien Thanh Industrial Park, Trang Due Industrial Park Expanded, Giang Bien II Industrial Park.

10 projects are completing processes and procedures for implementation with a total area of ​​3,466 ha. Specifically: 

Cau Cuu Industrial Park, An Hoa Industrial Park, An Hung Industrial Park - Dai Ban, Vinh Quang Industrial Park, Ngu Phuc Industrial Park - Kien Thuy, Tan Trao Industrial Park - Kien Thuy; Sao Mai Industrial Park (Tien Lang 1), Vinh Quang Shipbuilding Industrial Park (Tien Lang 2), Cai Trap Island Industrial Park, Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park (phase 2).
