  Overview
     Binh Phuoc is forming some key Industrial Parks (IP) attracting to many investment projects such as Chon Thanh IP, Tan Khai IP, Minh Hung IP, Minh Thanh IP…  
Endowed with rich resources and minerals, Binh Phuoc is a meeting place of great rivers such as Dong Nai, Be and Sai Gon rivers. It also plays an important role in the rapid development of processing industry, exploiting minerals, construction materials production, consumption products and serving agri–forestry production.

 

     To hasten industry development in the next time, Binh Phuoc puts forward specific directions regarding on industry expansion of agricultural and forest products, on innovation of technology devices, improvement of product quality, enlargement of manufacturing size to ensure the supply of a considerable goods amount for export demand.
     Mobilizing all the components of Economy, Binh Phuoc has mobilized capital of foreign investment, technology science. The province has also been establishing consultant organizations to support enterprises on information of investment opportunities, markets, technology, etc…On the other hand, Binh Phuoc is adjusting policies of attracting investment to create convenient conditions for development of its industry.


  Natural Conditions

Geographical location: 

Binh Phuoc is a mountain province, locates in the Southern Key Economic Zone, borders Dak Nong province in the North, Binh Duong province in the South, Lam Dong and Dong Nai provinces in the East and Tay Ninh province and Cambodia in the West. The province has more than 240 kilometres boundary curve with Cambodia.

Dong Xoai Township is economic and cultural center of Binh Phuoc province, 128km far from Hochiminh City.

    6.856 km2


  Population:

 The average population: 874.961 people .

 

  Climate:

 Binh Phuoc province is in the monsoon tropical zone.

The annual average temperature is from 25,6ºC to 27,3oC.

The province has two seasons: Rainy Season and Dry Season.

   + Rainy Season: from May to November.

   + Dry Season: from December to April.


Terrain:

Topography of Binh Phuoc province is highland in the North and East – North, having hill feature, gradual declivity in the West and West - South direction.

Binh Phuoc province has a convenient transportation system and location, having North – South Road and Trans-Asia railway, not far from Hochiminh City. The province has large market in Highland, Middle provinces and Southeast Asia countries.

 Provincial Roads system is relatively perfect with total roads increased up to 402 lines, in which have 2 lines are managed by central, 13 lines provincial road are managed by province and 387 lines are managed by district.

  Economic situations

In recent years, , Binh Phuoc province has many positive changes in all fields, aiming socio – economic development is suitable to aiming to develop the Southern key economic zone, guaranteed stability, attachingenvironment protect. It results in Binh Phuoc’s impressive acchievements. 

The province has well exploited local material sources to develop processing industry such as finished rubber , cashew nuts, cassava… Industrial production value increase 15,51 times after 10 years, average annual increase 35,61%, industrial capacity (exclude construction) in GDP increase from 2,43% (1997) to 15,37% (2006). Because of having large rivers, Binh Phuoc province has built hydroelectric power plants such as Thac Mo (150MW), Can Don (72MVA) and some of hydroelectric power plants that have been building.
