COFFEE MANUFACTURING PLANT INAUGURATION HELD BY NESTLE VIETNAM CO., LTD

On 09 July, 2013 Nestle Vietnam Co., Ltd held the coffee manufacturing plant inauguration ceremony at Amata industrial zone, Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province.

 

On 09 July, 2013 Nestle Vietnam Co., Ltd held the coffee manufacturing plant inauguration ceremony at Amata industrial zone, Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province.

Attending the inauguration of the factory were the Swiss Honorary Consul General – Mr Beat Walter; Deputy Ambassador of Switzerland (Deputy Head of the Swiss delegation of Foreign Affairs - Head of Economic & Commercial) - Ms. Christine Busser; Deputy Director Horticulture, Standing south of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development - Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa; Director of Food Safety bureau - Mr. Tran Quang Trung; Deputy chairperson of Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee – Ms Phan Thi My Thanh; Chairperson of Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority – Mr Vo Thanh Lap; Vice Chairperson of Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority - Ms. Nguyen Phuong Lan; the representatives of other agencies in Dong Nai province and customers of the Company.

Nestlé S.A. Group is one of the world’s largest Group which specializes in manufacturing and selling food and beverage, whose headquarter was establisted in 1866 (located in Vevey, Switzerland). Currently the Group has over 500 affiliated factories in 86 countries and products available throughout the world. Particularly in Vietnam, the Nestle products have been known nearly 100 years.

In 1995, the Nestlé Group S.A. decided to establish Nestlé Vietnam Company Limited which specializes in manufacturing all kinds of drinks such as mineral water, La Vie, Nescafe instant coffee, Nestea instant tea and nutritional drinks Milo, Maggi seasoning and sauces and more other products in Bien Hoa II Industrial Zone, with an initial total investment of more than $ 24.3 million.

This is a coffee production plant with a capacity of 32,500 tons/year, it is 20 times the capacity of plant in Bien Hoa Industrial Zone II previously and it is the biggest instant coffee manufacturing plant in Vietnam until now.

After more than 15 years of operation, the Group has expanded investment and scaled up production for the project in Bien Hoa Industrial Zone II. At the same time, the Group establishes two new factories in Amata Industrial Park, of which is the coffee manufacturing plant project with a total investment of $ 270 million and the packing and manufacturing plant with a total investment of 56 million USD.

The plant uses high technology in manufacturing coffee, saving energy and water resources, producing Nescafe products of high quality for domestic market and exporting. In particular, this new project contributes greatly to the coffee industry development, mainly from raw coffee to processed coffee for exports.

In addition, Nestlé takes part in collaborative projects with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to improve the efficiency of coffee through the application of experience and more efficient farming programs, such as supporting technical assistance to farmers, breeding new disease-resistant type of coffee and high yield prodution, and giving a boost to direct purchasing.

At the inauguration, General Director of Nestle Vietnam Co., Ltd – Mr Rashid Aleem Qureshi gave the best thanks to the provincial authorities for great care and favorable conditions to help the plant put into operation in the latest time.

Ms. Phan Thi My Thanh on behalf of provincial People’s Committee leaders congratulated Nestle Vietnam Co., Ltd on the success of the company on its business. She also committed that Dong Nai authorities will create more favorable conditions for the development of the company.
