For our 1st interview, we will introduce “Active Vietnam Factory Co.,Ltd” who entered Kizuna as the 1st tenant. Active Corporation (Head Office in Aichi prefecture in Japan, Representative:Mr.Tetsuya Nishiyama) established Active Vietnam Factory Co.,Ltd. As a local enterprise in Vietnam in May 2013. They installed machineries in September and started operation from October in 2013. I asked Mr.Nishiyama about their story to establish a local enterprise and start operation in Vietnam

1. Please tell me about your business in Vietnam.

We’re processing and manufacturing the parts for the motorcycles at Vietnam factory. Our factory is Vietnam Factory of “ACTIVE” which is a maker of the customized parts for the motorcycles. We’re processing and manufacturing the products of “Active” and “GALE SPEED” which is our original brand. We’re planning to extend the business more as a manufacturing hub in Aisa in the future.

2. Is it the first time for you to invest in overseas? Why did you choose Vietnam

It’s the first time for us to invest in overseas. I think Vietnam is the country which has good balance of production cost and quality. Vietnamese staffs are very hard workers and have strong awareness of quality control, which creates good working environment. We invested in Vietnam for the growing market in Asia. Though our scale is small, we’re planning to extend it larger and larger.

3. How long did it take for you to make decision since you started the first consideration including the number of times of inspection visit?

It took almost Half year. I made 2-3 times visit for inspection.

I expect the Stability of economy and ease of investment from overseas.7. Do you have any interesting episodes or difficulties after you started operation in Vietnam?

I don’t have any interesting episodes, but there’s difference between our common sense in many meanings. Everything is good study and experience for us as a company which just started operation.

8. Could you give any messages and advises for the companies under consideration of investing in Vietnam?

It’s very good system for SMEs like us to start with Rental factory to invest in overseas at low budget. It’s all depending on your business judgement. Why don’t you try?
