U.S. GE Healthcare Plans to Invest US$1 Bln into Vietnam Each Year

The U.S. GE Healthcare plans to invest US$1 billion into Vietnam’s healthcare sector each year to survey local healthcare market in the coming years, Eugene Hong, sale executive of GE Healthcare in charge of Singapore-Vietnam was quoted as saying.
“We [GE Healthcare] see a great potential of the medical sector in Vietnam as the country’s economy posts rapid growth,” Eugene Hong told Vietnam Economic Times.
“Vietnam is developing very fast and the government has issued many incentives for developments of the sector, living conditions are getting better, therefore demand for healthcare services is on the rise,” Eugene Hong said.
We have many partners which are national hospitals and clinics including Friendship, Hoan My Can Tho, Hanoi Postal, Viet-Duc hospitals. We have provided many modern equipments to them, he added. (Vietnam Economic Times)
