Additional 30 seafood exporters get EU permission

Additional 30 Vietnamese seafood firms have got permission to export their products to the European Union (EU), according to sources from the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers.

As a result, 330 enterprises are now allowed to export their products to the EU thanks to efforts in upgrading establishments and taking measures on production and material source management.
Earlier, Japan, China, the Republic of Korea, and Russia had allowed more Vietnamese seafood producers to export to their countries, bringing the total number of domestic exporters to receive permission to 448 to Japan , 444 to China , 442 to the RoK, and 30 to Russia .
Vietnamese seafood exports are available in many overseas markets with revenues of almost 2.2 billion USD in the first seven months of the year after a drop due to the global recession. The leading market is the EU, followed by Japan.
