Over 50 leading European businesses have brought to Vietnam their latest technology for developing green infrastructure and environmentally friendly business solutions. As part of the two-day event, 45 leading experts will attend a conference to share their experiences with Vietnam’s policy makers and businesses in devising effective development strategies.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai praised the decision to organise this important event. While pushing economic development, Vietnam has faced environmental challenges, too, said Mr. Hai.

As one of the five countries predicted to be most affected by climate change, Vietnam sees green technology is the rational choice for sustainable development. Green-Biz 2009 is an opportunity for policy makers and businesses to exchange trade experiences and seek environmentally friendly solutions for sustainable development, said the Deputy PM. Green-Biz 2009 is being organised by the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (Eurocham) in partnership with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).
