The firm will first invest a further US$400,000 to make itself the best known watch brand in Vietnam, said Dang De Di, director of Tan Thinh Ltd., the sole distributor of Titan clocks in Vietnam.

Titan clocks and watches are being sold at more than 100 retailers around Vietnam.

Utkarsh Thakur, director of the Vietnam office of the India-based Titan, said Titan has occupied 70 percent of clock and watches market in India and has expanded its business to 26 other countries.

The corporation, which belongs to one of India’s oldest corporate families, the Tatas, sells more than 11 million clocks and watches every year. It has sold more than 110 million clocks and watches since it first opened in 1987.
