The project, invested by local dairy firm TH Milk Joint Stock Company, will develop 12 cow farms and a 500 tons of milk per day at a processing factory in Nghia Dan District. It will have 8,000 dairy cows, all imported from New Zealand, by 2012.

The 22 hectare plant will be equipped with the most modern technologies in Southeast Asia, according to the news website of national radio broadcaster Voice of Vietnam (VOV).

TH Milk General Director Tran Bao Minh said the project will help turn Nghia Dan District into the largest animal husbandry area in the country and even in the region.
