Frank Muiler, managing director of Veka hopes to have long term cooperation with Quang Ninh province. Muiler wants to develop shipbuilding industry in Vietnam.

Netherlands-based Veka Group specialises in shipbuilding and has subsidiaries in many countries all over the world. It builds over 70 types from large to small vessels each year to meet all shipping demands from cargo ships, liquefied gas ships to passenger vessels, from luxury yachts to specified ships for marine safety.

Veka now focuses on improving technology for environmental protection, fuel economical. It targets to expand its market shares into Africa, South America and Asia. Vietnam is regarded as its potential market in the future.
