HCM City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay highway to be completed by 2014

Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai has asked all relevant departments to resolve all issues relating to Tan Phu – Long Thanh – Dau Giay section in November of 2013 and accomplish HCM City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay highway by 2014.
To exploit the efficiency of Tan Phu – Long Thanh – Dau Giay section, he asked the Ministry of Transport (MoT) to direct Vietnam Expressway Development Corp (VEC) to discuss with HCM City People’s Committee about Tan Phu traffic connector and to work with credit institutions to use capital surplus after bidding or add up capital to do this project.
At the same time, MoT also has to supply concrete guidance to VEC and related contractors about technical solutions to speed up the progress of Long Thanh bridge and to ensure that it will be put into use in-sync with traffic highway project.
In addition, Dong Nai People’s Committee also urged Long Thanh. Thong Nhat and Cam My commune People’s Committee to complete quickly land clearance and compensation problem at Long Thanh – Dau Giay highway, to handle resolutely with some cases such as law violations, construction obstructing affecting the project schedule.
HCM City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay highway started construction in March, 2010 with a total length of 55 km. In phase 1, it is designed with 4 lanes with speed of 120km/hour.
With the starting mould at An Phu – Distric 2 (HCM City) connector and ending one at 1A national highway intersection in Dau Giay (Dong Nai), this project will play an important part in boosting economic and society situation in provinces it passes and cities of South East key economic zone.
