ADB to loan $410mil. to highway project

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) announced yesterday it would give a US$410 million loan to a 51-km highway project from Ho Chi Minh City to Dau Giay, Long Thanh District in southern Dong Nai Province.
The four-lane highway now has $932 million worth of total investment including a loan from the Japan Bank of International Cooperation (JBIC) and a contribution from the Vietnam General Highway Corporation.
The project investors said environmental considerations will be undertaken during the construction and operation of the highway. The project is slated for completion by 2014.
