VinaCapital wants to support Ba Ria - Vung Tau in planning tourism and logistics planning
VinaCapital Group and the Support Group to Accelerate Business and Investment Opportunities in Vietnam (VBI Fast Track) have just proposed the idea of building Ba Ria - Vung Tau into the largest logistics center in the South. at the same time developing infrastructure for liquefied gas power projects and promoting tourism.
VinaCapital Group and VBI Fast Track also propose the worlds leading consulting firms on economic planning, seaports and tourism for Ba Ria - Vung Tau such as: Boston Consulting Group, Roland Berger, McKinsey.
Prior to the above proposal, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Pham Viet Thanh said that the province is making a master plan for the period of 2021-2030, with a long-term vision to 2050. The province determines that the planning must be consistent, unified, and synchronous with national, regional and sector targets and orientations and integration and synchronization among branches and domains in the locality.
The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee asked the Provincial Peoples Committee to assign relevant departments and branches to work specifically with VinaCapital Group and VBI Fast Track so that the proposals of these two units would best meet the sustainable development of the province.
Regarding logistics, at a meeting with the Prime Minister in mid-September, Dutch ambassador Elsbeth Akkerman, Belgian Ambassador Paul Jansen and investors of the European Union (EU) raised ideas to invest in construction. project of Cai Mep Ha logistics center (Ba Ria - Vung Tau).
According to the idea, this project is worth 984 million USD, aiming to develop Cai Mep Ha to become a leading center for transportation, container and export of agricultural products from the Mekong Delta to the EU.
The project area is about 1,763ha, including: logistics center and downstream Cai Mep port (984.24ha); water surface area (455.77 ha); land for storing clean energy storage (197.65 ha); potential water surface area (125.34ha).
Prior to this proposal, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc affirmed that the Government always creates favorable conditions for foreign investors and large enterprises, especially the EU to do business and invest in Vietnam.
Prime Minister assigned the Peoples Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province to coordinate with the Ministry of Planning and Investment to consider the investors proposal on the project and report to the Prime Minister on relevant issues.

After the Prime Ministers request, on September 15, 2020, the Peoples Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province issued Decision No. 2802 approving the construction zoning project of 1 / 2,000 scale for Cai Mep logistics center project. Ha in Phuoc Hoa ward, Phu My town.
In addition, the province assigns the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and Phu My town to coordinate the work of approving land use plans, identifying land origins, determining preliminary compensation plans for site clearance.
