According to Mr. Nghiep, the locality has asked the investor to outline the project in writing so that the Soc Trang Provincial Peoples Committee, through the Provincial Party Committees Standing Board, will plan for the investor to visit the field. When the survey is completed, the investor must prepare a detailed project for Soc Trang province to submit to the Government.
“The province has planned My Thanh and Dai Ngai industrial zones. If investors choose these two areas for the project, it will be very convenient in site clearance and investment policies," Nghiep said.
According to the leader of Soc Trang Department of Industry and Trade, in addition to 16 wind power projects that have been granted investment licenses, the province is preparing to grant 4 permits for the remaining projects.
Currently, Soc Trang has 9 wind power projects started. At the end of the first quarter or the second quarter of 2021, there will be more than 10 wind power plants in Ke Sach, My Xuyen, Long Phu, My Tu, Cu Lao Dung districts... which will be updated in the Power Plan VIII with the total capacity of these plants. the power source is 9,140.6 MW to serve as a basis for implementation in the next phase.
