30 km away from HCMC, Binh Duong once was a battlefield with historical place – names such as Phu Loi, Bau Bang, Ben Suc, Lai Khe, Nha Do and especially D War Zone of which center is Tan Uyen district, “Iron Triangle” Area with three villages named An like An Dien, An Tay and Phu An.
Nowadays, Binh Duong is becoming a bright dot in Vietnam economic map on achievements of international economic integration and innovation; which are the outstanding results of foreign direct investment capital attraction.
Being a red and grey soil land of planting coffee and rubber trees, Binh Duong has a lot of grasslands to breed cattle and to cultivate farm produces; a large number of alluvial plains, fields, famous fruit orchards about durians, mangosteens, rambutans, jackfruits…in Lai Thieu. Large rivers flow across province regions such as Dong Nai river, Sai Gon and Song Be rivers together with many canals, small rivers supplying water for plains and facilitating for motorized junks movement.

 Binh Duong Province is located in the South East of Vietnam. The Province borders Binh Phuoc Province to the North; Ho Chi Minh City to the South and South-West; Tay Ninh Province to the West and Dong Nai Province to the East.
Thu Dau Mot township, 30Km from Ho Chi Minh City, is the administrative, economic and cultural center of the Province
Binh Duong locates in the monsoon tropical zone, temperate climate, high annual temperature and plentiful sunlight. The weather in Binh Duong is relatively mild and there is little of natural calamities such as storms, flood ...
Binh Duong has two seasons: Rainy season and Dry season.

Average rainfall is about 1,800-2,000mm.
Annual average temperature is 26.50C. The air has relatively high humidity. Annual humidity changes very little, as same as air temperature in the region.

269.554 ha
Because of average altitude 6-60m, excluding some valleys along Sai Gon and Dong Nai Rivers, land in Binh Duong province almost is free of flood and inundation. The relatively flat terrain is favorable for expanding transportation systems, construction of infrastructure, industrial zones and for agricultural production.

Infrastructure / Traffic
 Binh Duong Province takes its advantage of transport system, National Highway 13 and 14, intercity roads linking many regions. Thu Dau Mot township is 30Km away from Hochiminh City, 1740Km from Hanoi, 129Km from Tay Ninh, 40Km from Bien Hoa (Dong Nai).
- Economy
Binh Duong is one of the most dynamic economic zones attracting foreign investment into Vietnam. The best policy on investment environment in Vietnam is implemented, the province has owned 1.285 FDI projects with USD 6.507 bil investment capital. In 2007, Binh Duong attracted over USD 900 mil FDI capital, increasing more than 2.5 times compared with last year.
According to rank of PCI in 2006, Binh Duong has continued to lead in provincial competition index with 76.23 points while Ha Noi capital and Hochiminh City, the biggest economic centers, ranks in the fortieth with 50.34 points and in the seventh with 63.39 points respectively.
Binh Duong has 13 industrial zones in operation, in which have many industrial zones have been ful - occupied such as Song Than II, Dong An, Tan Dong Hiep A, Viet Huong, Song Than I.
Industrial zones had attracted 938 investment projects, including 613 foreign-invested projects with total registered capital of US$3.483 million and 225 local projects with a total investment of VND 2656 billion.

Binh Duong belonging to Gia Dinh in the old days, is an age – old culture having valuable music heritage about ritual music, music of amateurs, Ba Thien Hau folk festival. There are ancient pagodas such as Ba Hoi Khanh, Nui Chau Thoi, Long Hung together with well-known trade villages like Tuong Binh Hiep lacquer village and a lot of pottery villages. Besides, fruit gardens and beautiful sights are premises to form tourism routes along with Dong Nai River, especially route on Sai Gon River beginning from Lai Thieu famous orchard extending to Thu Dau Mot Township and Dau Tieng Lake. In addition, there also are routes visiting old battlefields of D War Zones whose center is Tan Uyen district with “Iron Triangle Zones” tunnel in three An villages, Phu Loi, Bau Bang, Ben Xuc, Lai Khe and Do House.
